Bracketts Oceanview in Rockport

Great restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Rockport. The menu is simple and has a great selection of seafood and american delights. Although they promise a Ocean View you may not get the view if your seated in the back of the restaurant.

This is cliché, but I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The service was below average, the food was unoriginal, flavorless, and too expensive. The fish tacos were very watery, the lobster roll was unimpressive, and the salad was dry, with the croutons burnt.To top it all off, when we asked for avocado on said watery fish tacos, not only did they give us a miniscule amount, but it added no flavor. Furthermore, a dining companion asked for a sparkling rosè, and she received it without the sparkle, much like dining at Brackett's

Very pleasant dining experience. The lobster mac n cheese was delicious. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Great views of the harbor.

Brackett's has been our go to in Rockport for a few years now. The menu is relatively simple, but still plenty of good options. Everything we've ever ordered has been great. The view is great from the dining room, and the staff has always been kind and attentive. Great for lunch or dinner.

Friendly service, Great Waterview and tasty food.

Took two tries to get my steak right. No apologies. ‘By the time they got it right everyone else was finished and was waiting for me to finish. ‘Besides that the food was, let’s say lacking. Don’t waste your time, it not good.

If you’re going just for seafood it may be worth checking out however, if you have no desire for seafood I recommend staying away. Their fish dishes are a hit or miss they can be amazing or disappointing. Their dishes that don’t contain fish are truly terrible. That being said the view is spectacular.

Great dinner and date night place.

The view from some of the tables is spectacular, the food not so much. The mussels were large, but tasteless, and the portion small. The chicken sandwich tasted like chemicals. This restaurant seems to think it's fine dining (reflected in the high prices) while serving up diner quality food.

Wrong information about opening hours. Very bad experience

I've had many shrimp tacos, all are fried but this place does a blackened shrimp tacos... Wow, homerun with this one.

I went in with my wife and mother and we could not have gotten a warmer greeting. The staff was excellent and the food was even better than I had hoped for. If I could live in this restaurant I would. Thank you so much for the memories and the food.

Nice location, recommended by B&B owner. Salmon was fine, but Swordfish tasted really flat. Disappointing for the price.

Way overpriced. I expect to pay more for my food in rockport but also expect a bit more in return. Food was not spectacular, what you would expect from a diner. No fresh in season vegetables.Very, very loud!

Always classy never trashy and a lil bit sassy. Yummy food and we loved the view. Would definitely recommend.

Overall it was a good meal. Prep cooks need to trim veggies better.

We had lunch their yesterday afternoon. Our waitress was excellent, always near by if you needed anything. We all had the chowder, which was disappointing as the menu describes it as "thick and creamy", it was neither thick or creamy, more soup like. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. New England clam chowder is not suppose to be soupy. I also had caeser salad, very good crisp and fresh, good portion. My husband had the fried haddock, he sad it was good but portion was small. There is a lovely view of the ocean, all in all was a pleasant lunch. Needs to work on getting the chowder to match the description on the menu!!

We came here from South Carolina for our 40th anniversary and for my first trip to New England we had a great experience! Our last night here we chose Brackett's from the reviews which were better than all the other restaurants in the area. From the time I called to make the reservation to the end of the meal we definitely made the best possible choice. The staff was very friendly and did their best to make our last night here the perfect ending to a wonderful anniversary trip! The service, the food, the view, and even the bill was perfect!!Thank you for a great ending to a great trip!!!

Great view and good food. Cajun spiced scallops with red pepper couli was well prepared. Bread was warm and tasty.

Great food, spectacular views. We tried several Rockport restaurants and this one really stands out. There was a good variety of food and drinks that were all very tasty. The asparagus burrata salad was awesome! Recommend eating here, but you might want to make reservations, gets busy.

Rick asked for a romantic spot for us to set and dine. We were escorted threw the quaint little dining area to the patio where we could watch the ocean waves and feel the warm of the sun and the warm breeze. The waitress spent just enough time with us to get our orders and then seemingly disappeared. She seemed to always know before we ask what we wanted and brought it to us. We felt cozy and very comfortable. It was romantic and the place had an inviting appeal to it. Our glasses were never empty yet I never could figure out where she would slip off too and then suddenly appear just when we needed her. She was very pleasant and had this sense of romance about her that just added to our visit. I noted families as well as single individuals dining here. I recommend this place for your romantic adventure or just a great dining experience

Food was delishious and service was exceptional. The ocean view is striking.My only complaint was that the restaurant became extremely noisy as it filled up !Noise abatement ceiling tiles might help.

Very nice view from the dining room. Food leaves something to be desired. Go for the view, have a glass of wine, and get an appetizer. Don’t spend the money on a full meal.

In spite of the Covid restrictions for inside dining Brackett's made us feel comfortable and welcome. Great atmosphere, tasty food, and a wonderful view. We will have to go back so I can get to try the clams next time. Maybe they'll be back on the menu.

Disgusting food they should change the chef ASAP ... it used to be good .... the fish that I ordered was oily, no flavor , the fried calamari horrible , the hamburger burned. I got sick after I ate here . I am very sad of this lost but I am NOT COMMING BACK ...RIP

I re.ember this restaurant as Oleana's when si was younger. Food still very good. The view is Long Beach in Rockport and a great sunset! Recommend.

Ordered the swordfish steak. It was season ed just right and cooked perfectly.
